Daniel Kitson @ Parkteatret, Oslo

The great English comedian Daniel Kitson was in Oslo tonight to do a "work in progress" show for 80 kroner - about £8 - about as cheap as live shows get in Norway. Would have been tremendous value for money at £20. It was a bit patchy and some things he said didn't go anywhere, but that's the nature of a work in progress show. At one point he asked if The Killing (a Danish TV series) was from Norway. One person said no, one said Denmark and one said yes. Turned out the one who said yes thought he meant the July 22 2011 killings - and it was testament to Kitson's brilliance that he could turn that potentially very awkward moment into much hilarity.
