Fresh Air, Blue Sky
I managed to stay asleep until 9am today, as I'm awake every day by 7am. I could never work at home, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing and I sure as hell I could never stick to a schedule! Thank goodness there's nobody calling me!
I popped to the chemist to pick up my prescription. I saw two people standing outside, so I joined them, standing 6ft away. The pharmacist comes out to take your name, and then I asked if we were allowed to purchase other things. She said yes, so in I went (alone), paid and then returned back outside to stand 6ft away from the other three people whilst I waited for my meds. I got chatting to a man who was telling me how Waitrose is running. It was really nice to chat, and I think it's those little things that are missing right now. I wanted to go to Waitrose, especially as they were doing one in and one out etc, but I was afraid. I'm afraid to do something that I did just a week ago in such carefree abandon.
When I got back from the chemist, I washed my hands several times, and tried not to get too drawn into the lines of thinking that one could so easily be drawn into.
Mum and I walked Little B through the woods in the afternoon. He had a lovely time, and we got 6k steps. The only downside was that he was frightened by a dog that approached strangely- by belling crawling towards him, as if in submission- which resulted in him screaming in terror! The dog didn't hurt him, didn't really chase him, but the poor little guy was terrified! On the plus side in all of this, Little B and dogs in general are the ones who are winning at life here- people home all day, queuing up to take him out! Life has never looked so good for Little B!
I'm getting a bit desperate for some fruit- my staple- and Waitrose and every other supermarket that I can think of aren't offering any delivery slots.
It begs the question- how can we stay in if we absolutely have to go out for food?
* Extra is of a house in the other cul-de-sac. The top has had a beige triangle there for years, but today the scaffolding was up and he was painting it to look like the rest of it.
