'We are what we do.'

Millie

Whilst Millie enjoys the smelliest rawhide bone I have ever bought, Jem is curled up next to the radiator feeling very sorry for herself after her trip to the vets today. Millie and Jem are like chalk and cheese when it comes to the vets. Millie was first and was very happy to stand on the table being poked and prodded before having her booster jab. Whereas Jem cowered in the corner of the room shaking like a leaf whilst trying to make herself as small as possible, poor mite. She has had it a bit more traumatic though as she has had to have 2 injections 24 hours apart after a dog got into the garden 10 days ago and mated with her!

I have been indecisive about getting her spade for various reasons even though Millie was done after her first season. In fact, it was only a couple of months ago that I had been discussing it with the vet. I have always been very careful when she is in season and I have an enclosed garden so had decided that, since the health benefits linked to her being done earlier were greatly reduced the later it was left, we would leave it. However, as the dog that caught her is local, allowed to roam and can get into my garden, Jem will now be spade during the Easter holidays.

Three beautiful things:
Being in class today
Millie's expression
The bottle of whiskey bought for dad's birthday present!

One thing to be grateful for:
Breathing time
