Red in tooth and claw

Went outside just after 5 and this was lying in the garden. Looks like we have one less wood pigeon in the neighbourhood. Just wondering what the story was - whether a larger bird had got it and dropped it, what had eaten the fresh meat and where this had happened. Many questions, few answers.....
