Peculiarities

Our manager had a conference meeting with us, almost 180 of his employees, in the same video session, as we can not meet live at the moment. Latest news of Corona virus affecting our work and he was cheering us up, but also hoping that we all take good care of ourselves in these peculiar times. Most of our department employees work and live in Helsinki area - which is quite badly contaminated by Corona virus. The area where I live and work, in Pirkanmaa region, there is virus cases but not a yet a strong epidemic. I can not understand now they cope in Helsinki!

Our daughter desided to visit in IKEA today and buy herself a new work desk into our home now as the Corona virus is not yet a local problem at this area. She made a quick visit into the empty huge furniture store (only less than ten customers there altogether, and far more employees). In the evening we made the table puzzle together, had a lot of fun too - I surely have seen more easy puzzles - and tomorrow she is able to work by the new table. I constantly try to keep her tranquil, but lost the fight always.

Our Government of Finland has made today already a longed and big desision to restrict the traffic between Uusimaa region and the rest of the country. Only essential traffic can be done to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic into other regions of the country. The Prime minister also hoped that any Uusimaa inhabitants would come home, if visiting someone or somewhere.
The restrictions will be in force until 19 April 2020 as soon as the Government and Parliament will deside on concerning these restrictions.

We are living historical times.
