Birthday Boy

Kept our distance on our lunch break, unfortunately. Managed to eat cake and get a shopping list of essential items as P & D cannot leave the house for 12 weeks.

Day 1 working from home: more tiring than I thought. Sitting down all day doesn't suit me, nor my back, but managed to pull off some 3D printed test pieces for an extraction duct unit for the laser cutter. I had to separate the unit into two as it wouldn't fit in the 3D printer. Just as well it will print better in two anyway (less overhang and hence no support structure required). This is not something I would've done in the workhouse due to power shut down after 5pm every day, so we'll see in the morning once the main piece finishes it's 19 hour print!! See the extra.

On the plus side we made our own fresh ice cream this evening. It was surprisingly easy to make, but shockly healthy, not! We bought a 4 pinter of catering whipping cream a couple of days ago from Morrisons and freezing the mixture made perfect sense as opposed to eating the lot before it going out if date and getting ill. One with vanilla extract and the other salted caramel.

All fun, but eerie this self isolation / social distancing so far.
