The Good Stuff
I can't live without fruit! I decided to make a dash to baby Tesco's just round the block. Because I was so conscious of getting in and out as quickly as I could, and also staying a ways apart from people, my mind went completely blank and I ended up basket-less, doing a bit of a smash and grab to get whatever I could find! They had bananas, green grapes, pears and oranges, other stuff too and lots of veggies. I grabbed what I could, and it was so nice to make a fruit plate when I got back!
I ended up being quite productive and got a bit of school stuff done, manned the class blog page and sorted out some PSHE stuff. Mum and I went for a long walk with Little B to the woods again. It's great to get out, and I got 6.5k steps. We walked to Shelle's and talked to her and Looby-Doo through the window. She was playing 'pay-dough' at her little table, and whilst we told Shelle how we'd been to the woods, she said "shall we go to the woods Ayix?". I can't wait to physically see her properly! It's been ten days but it feels like forever!
I had a good chat with a friend who had been into work today, and then my therapy session with R. We were supposed to do a Zoom session, and for privacy I was going to sit in the car, but the sound wasn't great and instead I decided on a phone call. I thought it would be weird, especially as reading facial expression and allowing for silence is crucial in this type of work, but actually it felt pretty natural, and as R said, she felt more relaxed by the end of it too. I found it quite peaceful to be sat in the car, on the driveway in the dark, and I tell you, watching the escapades of Henry the cat was very amusing as well! There was definitely a clattering of what sounded like bins after he left my lawn!
It's not ideal, but I think keeping this up will be the key to maintaining my sanity during these weeks!
Just felt a bit lighter this evening, I do hope it lasts.
I shared Ro's Vegan Chilli with broccoli for dinner which was super yummy, and I might venture to a BP M&S for more supplies if I'm feeling brave enough tomorrow.
