Day 1 - Breaking the rules
Morning coffee sitting outside in a cool but very pleasant air. It was lovely to sit and watch the birds playing chase through the bushes and I even watched this chap and 4 or 5 of his mates all visit at once. One of them even managed to catch a small moth on the fly right in front of me.......so wish I could catch him doing it! This chap thought my shed looked like a fun playground and spent a few minutes flitting around inside whilst I chatted to him. They really are such amazingly trusting and friendly birds.
Bathroom - cleaned. Well, some of it. I have a whole month to do the whole house - no point in rushing.
Washing done.
COVID-19 update from PM watched.....her address was very positive and encouraging but saddened somewhat by the news that, in a closed court where the family's of the victims couldn't be present to witness it, the accused gunman from the Mosque shootings pleaded guilty. It's been just over a year since this atrocity - I guess he'll be facing a lot more years in prison once he's sentenced.
Took a bike ride in the afternoon - not a big one as I'm still getting used to the new beastie. This ride was to test out a new gel seat too - oooh.....so much more comfy. That definitely passes muster. The next 'test' needs to be longer. The bummer though is that if I do any sections on our local 'Great Taste trail' I won't be able to indulge at any of the eating or drinking spots along the way.
Day one done and dusted - it's been eerily quiet along the road though more vehicles maybe than I had imagined there would be. Early days though.
Stay safe everyone - stay home.
