First Settler
If you journey to Key West, Florida, the first thing you will notice is the number of chickens running around...everywhere! When the explorers came over from Cuba, they brought live chickens for their eggs and otherwise. Originally they were developed for fighting, the chickens got loose and now lay claim to the Keys as their own. Every morning, in my $500/night hotel room, I awake to the sound of roosters crowing!
