Day 3 of Lockdown - A Whole New View
This is view from our new bedroom, if I open the window wide and lean out of it.
Another day, another morning spent replying to emails and marking and so on. All so very dull but necessary I suppose. Then got stuck into the front garden - wrestled a very old and very large fuschia out of the ground, and tomorrow I will dig it over and plant the beech hedging we have left over, hopefully it will survive.
All else well, Ben has done a reasonable amount of work. Amelia has been cross about hers most of the day, but I suspect she is displacing her anger. Marc's made a beautiful wood store.
I also spoke to my lovely friend Jess who is essentially in isolation as her husband is high risk, as well as a quick Houseparty chat with Dicon.
Am relieved about the chancellor's self employed bail out, as Marc hasn't been able to work. I do wish they would just do a basic income for us all and be done, though. Am sure it would be cheaper/about the same as all the other systems put in place, and it would definitely be easier to administer in the long run. What do I know though, eh?
