Wee little birdie

This sweet bird greeted me as I walked out into my patio this afternoon. I knew right away something was wrong as it stayed on the ground when I walked over to it. As I talked to the bird, she kept tilting her head from side to side. When I checked back on her about a half hour later , she was still there. I wish I knew how to help her. After dinner, I checked and she was gone. Such a pretty bird. Does anyone know what kind of bird it is?
