Poignancy

Uncle Gerard’s 90th Birthday treat to himself (see yesterday’s blip) was a coach trip to Austria, to retrace the scrambles that he and his beloved wife Bunty regularly took before she was slowly consumed by dementia, two years ago.
He decided, with characteristic stoic resignation, that he had to cancel the trip yesterday.
Bless him.

Today, another birthday...Tilly the WonderDog is one (or more accurately, in dog-time, fifteen)
Rather wonderfully there was an audacious plan to get her entire litter (odd word when you stop and look at it) together to celebrate with their Ma.
Called off, of course...so Tilly had a birthday home alone.
