Caramacs & Monkey Socks

Shopping for essentials

It's been 10 days since I last went to the supermarket, so due to a lack of vegetables in my fridge I had to go out foraging for some fresh ones.
Not only have they closed the entrance I usually go in to help control the crowds, meaning I had to walk for another 5 minutes to get to the other side of the building (there's no quick route down the side because of the other buildings etc next door), but the queue was down two sides of the carpark and I had to queue for about 15 minutes in the rain - trying to stay 2m away from everyone! Should've gone earlier in the week when it was dry!

As I inched closer to the door in the zombie queue, I suddenly had flashbacks of queuing for the flume at Dumbarton's Meadow Centre when I was a kid! The man on duty was carefully making sure people came out before he let anyone else in, and when it was my turn I felt like shouting 'wheeeeee!' and running into the store, haha!
It was a pretty calm shopping experience though, due to the limited number of people, and I actually managed to get all the fruit and veg I wanted. Somehow - and I don't know how it happened - a tub of ice cream fell into my basket before I reached the checkout. Oh dear, looks like I might just have to eat it. Not sure when I'll find the time though...

p.s. Never did find my fit!
