Tobermory

Another day of endless tapping of keys on keyboards and phone calls interspersed with the pharmacy run around Tobermory that generated more tapping of keys.  Behind the scenes the systems are developing and taking shape.  So much joining up to be done so quickly.  Feel like some gains are made whilst other things grow heads and add to the to do list.  This time a month back, although I was aware of the disaster that was unfolding, I never imagined that I'd be working with such a fantastic bunch of smart and caring folk.  But this is nothing compared to what the amazing NHS staff are now starting to deal with.  They really are being sent into battle, in conditions that should never have been allowed to develop the way they have by the UK government who wasted a window of opportunity to learn how to and how not to prepare and proceed.  Never ever think of cutting any slack for Boris and his crew.  I actually think with all the war terminology that is being used around tackling the Covid-19 crisis, we should see their appalling decision making and lack of appropriate action as a war crime.  They had choices - we could have a situation mirroring Germany or one mirroring Italy, which did they choose?

And on a lighter note this made me smile.
