Today's the day …………………… to survive

It's an absolute miracle that this plant is still alive - never mind producing this spray of exotic flowers.

I was given it as a present and the problem really lay in the fact that I have no idea how to look after orchids.  When we moved here, I stuck it in the conservatory.  I have since come to realise that any life would struggle to survive in an unheated, uninsulated conservatory - which is like a deep freeze in winter and an oven in summer. 

But I obviously got it out of there in the nick of time - and it has seen fit to reward me with this wonderful gift.  Thank goodness Nature is programmed to overcome adversity and fight for survival …………………..
