The Old Road

Yet another beautiful day and so warm, if you found a little nook out of the fresh wind.
After tackling a lot of jobs in the garden earlier in the week, I think my energy has peaked. I felt really lazy today and spent most of it pottering about and not getting anything much done.
JD has been taking Jorgie  for extended walks in the mornings (11.5miles today, leaving the house at 5.30am ) because all his other sporting activities have stopped.
The extra miles haven't worn her out so by 4pm she is ready to go again.
Rather than walk to the common again, I headed in the other direction.
Still up a very steep hill to start with and then down, what once was, the old A380 before the dual carriageway was built. There's no sign of any tarmac now, as nature has reclaimed the route.
The primroses along the edge were looking in peak condition.
With so few people about, I decided to keep on walking and ended up with a total of 6miles.
