Dusk sky over Shantullich farm, with crescent Moon and Venus above.

Left the confines of the house and garden for a wee stroll this evening. First time since going for shopping last Sunday. Will likely go for some shopping this weekend, which will be the first time on the bicycle for over a week. Fitness must be going way down. May have to fit a second pannier to be able to shift a week load of food, something I haven't ever done before, normally shifting a little and often.

Thoughts are with Ewan's family, with it being his funeral today, after his tragic death in his beloved hills. I hope they like the mere couple of photos that I captured of him at work. At the time of releasing that shutter, we can never know how much the simple snap could become a treasure to remind those suffering from loss, some time later. One of those snaps seems to be everywhere in the press, and whilst to me it does catch something of his gentle and friendly character, it is also so saddening to keep seeing it. He was nine years younger than me.
