Making memories
Do you remember the "good old days" when you would drag the old wood Flexible Flyer sled to the top of the hill, and then scream the whole way to the bottom? One of our sledding hills had a creek at the bottom which you could cross on a narrow bridge if you were very, very careful. We didn't realize it then, but we were making wonderful memories, weren't we? At least, that's the way I remember it.
Another cold day, only about 21 degrees when I snapped the pictures of the kids playing on the sledding hill. Currently it is 19 degrees, and that is much warmer than it was the beginning of the week when they actually closed school because it was too cold for the students to walk or wait outside at the bus stop. On Monday and Tuesday, the temperature didn't top 10 degrees and the wind made it even colder. We are expecting a slight warmup by the beginning of next week though. I have to confess that I like the snow and the cold. If the temps would hover between 23-30 degrees all winter long, I wouldn't mind a bit.
