caught in the act

What a wonderful day. Typical go to work sort of day...but I got to sneak away for a longer lunch and eat with my son!

I arrived at Ezra's school to surprise him with a lunch date and Chick-Fil-A. He was excited to see me, which warms my heart beyond what words can convey. After Ezra finished eating he ran to get ice cream before he joined his class and headed out to recess. It's worth noting (since yesterday was so beautiful) it was 45 degrees outside!

Before he left he showed me a "golden coin". Ezra received his gold coin because he was "caught doing something good"...being quiet. If you know Ezra, you know he's a talker...so this was quite the accomplishment!
