Coming home....
Long old day today, and lots of smiles and laughter with fab foody friends and the great and the good from across the region.
So many photo opportunities, but blipping was so far from my thoughts today.
First off, met my lovely friend Fliss, from London at York Station. She's here for the weekend, and might be snowed in the way we're going. Then on to catch the tail end of a breakfast demo and talk with chef Brian Turner. Great to see Steph Moon again (watch her on Great British Menu, week after next). Spent lots of time talking flavours and pairings with her. Also fab to see Katie and all the team from Deliciouslyorkshire (I'm 3 times winner of the Regional Confectionery Award).
Then on for coffee with friends at one of the nicest and friendliest gastropubs ever, Ye Old Sun Inn, Colton, nr York. Ash & Kelly run it and you couldn't wish for better food, friendlier service and cozy, comfy surrounds. They're up for a National Award (again) on Monday... My fingers and toes are crossed. Lovely friend Wendy there too. Then back to York and Betty's, and home for my take on Burns Night Supper.
I really had hundreds of photographic opportunities to blip today, but totally forgot! Oops. Finally remembered on the way home, so here's my souvenir blip of a really lovely day.
Snowing heavily now.... Wonder if the Farmers' Market will get cancelled?
