What an evening!
This is a joint project.
My friend Huddsbird braved the snow to join me this evening. Thankfully there was no snow across the Pennines but there certainly was when she arrived here! We had planned to go to a local Chinese restaurant so when the snow stopped we decided to be brave mad/foolish.
We had a lovely relaxing buffet meal putting the world to rights, not realising the snow had started again ... big time! The journey home was interesting as all the roads were covered in snow and it was hard to see where the road actually was! There were also some mad drivers around. We did realise it would have been good to have the camera with us but neither of us had one!!! We had a safe journey though.
[Update - next morning we read on the news that the M6 had been closed at the junction we'd been at because the snow was so heavy and some drivers had been stranded for 3hrs. Oops, we were lucky to get home, that was a close one! The things we do for a good Chinese!!! Not sure whether Huddsbird will get home today.]
Back home we couldn't resist getting a picture of the snow ... but from the comfort of my porch! All was going well until the camera alerted us to the fact that something was moving .... the car had decided to slide, driverless, down the drive!!!!!!! I'm afraid neither of us filmed the next bit as we dashed out to save it! We got rather wet as we dug it back into the drive and closed the gate!!!
In the warmth of the house we turned our attention to a much safer pastime ... light painting. It was time to experiment and we had great fun. Then the dilemma, which to blip??? We decided that we had to combine the two and post a joint blip. What an evening! Another first - light painting, a joint blip and a blended photo.
See more light painting here.
