Waiting

The thing about bus travel in Cambodia is that it's so unpredictable. Arriving early for the 4 hour connection to Phnom Pen from Sihanoukville, there was ample time for a spot of anthropology whilst guarding the luggage. It's very hard to choose when every gaze and glance contains a potential blip. Usually, covert use of the iPhone is more appropriate and this is one result. Many more opportunities presented themselves in the day to follow, but as always, the better the shot, the more difficult it is to obtain whilst maintaining respect for the subject. One old lady smiled at me, sitting on the ground by the door of the bus, but taking her photo would have been an invasion of her soul.
