it's a nice day for a white wedding (not)

There's something rather poignant about this shop window.  So many promises unfulfilled.

The High Street is deserted.  The butcher's shop is full of produce and devoid of customers.  Except for us. 

We chat about the madness of the past few weeks.  He tells us the waste bins around the town are full of discarded food - bought in a hurry and thrown away just as quickly.

In the oven is a beef and beer casserole for tomorrow (see extra).
