Inspired by artist Shelley Rhodes

Reworking onto a copy of a print that was inspired by Spurn Point.  I’ve been spending time looking at a book about creating Art Journals, written by Shelley Rhodes, which I bought last year (I’d forgotten I bought it).  Its got me started with playing, which has to be a good thing.  


She begins with a wonderful quote from Frank Gehry, ` Creativity is about play and a kind of willingness to go with your intuition. It’s crucial to an artist. If you know where you are going and what you are going to do, why do it?’


So I’ve been playing!


I’ve also been making some pens out of an old beer can I found in the recycling bin (I don’t drink this stuff), which are great fun to play with - these were also in Shelley’s book.
