Anemone, The Windflower

Said to bring luck and protect against evil. . The anemone sprang from Aphrodite's tears when she mourned the death of Adonis. 
A gift from very kind friends who phoned and asked if I needed any groceries when they next went shopping. I gave them a list saying it wasn't urgent but later today, a box with every item was left by my door.  I  shouted my thanks as we were apart. The anemones were laying on top of the goods. They often bring me fresh fruit and veg from their allotment.
