Saturday
The sense of time is so odd right now, don't you think? It's hard for me to tell the days apart, since I don't "work" per se, although I seem to have plenty that keeps me more than occupied. Thankfully my husband has always worked at home, so that part doesn't even feel odd. But his alarm didn't go off at 6:00 am this morning like it usually does, so I knew it was a weekend when we woke up considerably later!
It started out as a drizzly day, but eventually dried up enough to spend an hour or so puttering in the garden. I can't believe how great it looks...being March. Well, I suppose I can given the amount of time I've spent in it! And every day the plants grow just a little bit....what a gift to revel in nature right now.
I went for my daily 2 mile walk (this is now becoming a routine) and saw all sorts of interesting things going on in people's yards...and a lot of people walking, but no cars. There's a garden that I admire on the other side of the neighborhood - I don't know who it belongs to. It's a rather lovely rock garden and has, amongst other plants, a stunning patch of Pusatilla vulgaris rubra or 'Rubra' Pasque Flower...rubra meaning "red" of course. It's a nice change from the purple one in my garden (here) and (here) and I think I will have to find this variety for my garden!
All's well here - staying very close to home. Be well Blipmates!
