Wind was noisy through the night and woke to snow on the ground here.

Watched the news last night and I am worried about a friend who lives in Japan. I fear that country will have great devastation. She and I have been pen pals since high school days. Found each other through a penpal linkup in a teen magazine long before internet came along. Now we are in our 50s. I am praying she and her family will all make it through this.
