Blackwood Bay

It has been such a glorious day, both weather wise and pleasure.
After a late breakfast we packed up a picnic lunch and set off from Lochmara Bay, up the sounds in Edwards yacht, I have to point out here that even though we are boat owners we have no idea about sailing!!
Anyway the breeze was perfect and we tacked across the bay at speed several times out witting other boats, yachts!!! and missing several ferries and a very large cruise ship leaving Picton!

The photo taken on my phone shows the yacht moored in Blackwood Bay and the little rubber dingy on the beach, is what we came ashore in ( having hand pumped it up on board!) we visited some friends for a cuppa and a catch up.
Brilliant day, now off to bed.

Forgot while on their jetty we watched 4 quite big bull nosed rays swim by.
