NOT Whistler's Mother!

Oh, what fun Mr. W and I had making a travesty of James Abbott McNeill Whistler's masterpiece Arrangement in Grey and Black No. 1 (a.k.a. "Whistler's Mother")

My lovely "motherly" outfit is made up of:  A lace-edged hand towel for the cap, further adorned with dangling bits of loo paper (carefully saved for future use!), a piece of paper towel for my handkerchief, a collection of black shirts and sweaters to make up my "gown", and an embroidered tunic to simulate the curtain in the original.

Sorry, James ... tough times call for tough measures in these days of Covid-19 isolation!
