Exuberance and Laughter
The verse for this fifth Sunday of Lent is Isaiah 51v3:
Likewise I, GOD, will comfort Zion,
comfort all her mounds of ruins.
I'll transform her dead ground into Eden,
her moonscape into the garden of GOD,
A place filled with exuberance and laughter,
thankful voices and melodic songs.
We hang on to God's comfort in these desperately sad times - so awful the figures for Spain... exuberance and laughter will return, let's hang onto that.
Gratefuls:
- croissants and grapefruit for breakfast, our tradition maintained and the most amazing roast chicken dinner that Sam cooked for us
- seeing two of the interactive livestreams that our church did today, all of us sitting round the table together
- a long walk in Sutton Park, with Mike and Paul, sunshine, but so cold, even saw snowflakes falling this morning, first time I've been outside for three days. Met H at one stage, and walked along on opposite sides of the road for a while, chatting.
