Life in the time of Covid 19 - Day 5
A popular pastime in New Zealand is fishing, whether from a boat, a wharf or surf casting as this man was. Some people have 'torpedoes' a contraption which takes a line with many hooks out a few hundred kilometres so when they bring it in 30 - 60 minutes later you can have quite a few fish. We used to use a beach ball with hooked line connected- not quite so high tech but it worked.
Lock down Day 5
The weather changed slightly, it was rainy last night and the sea is a lot rougher. M went for his bike ride and l switched on the tv to follow a keep fit class, phew l wont be doing that again in hurry, l can hardly walk now!
We got our beach walk in early this morning, it is high tide at 12 and is meant to rain around 2pm.
Played scrabble last night.
ATM still not working.
