Back at the Badlands
How can something so beautiful be called El Malpais? ...the Badlands? Geologists tell us this was once an inland sea; hence the sandstone bluffs. Adventures abound!
Extras: Looking out across a 20 mile wide river of lava and scrub brush. The lava flowed from Mt. Taylor 3.3 - 1.5 million years ago and ended at the base of these bluffs where the lava eventually ran itself out, forty - fifty miles from the source.
