Enjoying the Sunshine

It's a beautiful day today and I knew exactly what I wanted to blip....a solitary tree standing in a snowy field backed by blue sky. We went for a drive towards Lichfield....saw plenty of solitary trees, lots of snowy fields and huge expanses of blue sky. But not all together!!!

We finally ended up at Fradley and went for a walk along the canal....some of the surface is still frozen although at a balmy 6 degrees today the snow is thawing quickly. This goose was one of many enjoying the sunshine!

Can anyone confirm i.d. - is it a Brecon Buff Goose????

Home now and the kettle's on ready for a cuppa...dinner is bubbling away in the slow cooker so a lazy afternoon is planned. Lucy is off to a party tonight so Gav one of us is going to have to stay up until the early hours to go and pick her up.
