......found a new way to polish the table. Effortlessly. I realise it would have been better if I'd taken a pre-blip, but just a spray and a rub over with WD40 covered over the very many splotches and imperfections that had accumulated over the years, and which wiping down had failed to remove.

I saw this tip on the Yahoo site, and it works!
