Lockdown Day 7 - Dunnock
A quiet day, which started cloudy, got brighter for a while but then we had some showers later.
I managed to capture this image of one of our friendly dunnocks during one of the brighter interludes. They are not very adept at landing and collecting from the bird feeders we use and so can often be seen on the ground beneath, picking up the seeds that the goldfinches often pull out and drop before they are happy with their choice.
We did take a walk, trying a different route and coming across a sign from the Canals and Rivers Trust adjacent to the Walsall Canal, advising that 'Use of the towpaths should now be limited', whatever that means? There were still a few people walking and riding along it. I also passed 400 miles for the year so far. At this rate I should easily reach my target, though I may well have worn a deep trench along the limited number of walks there are available from the house!
Day Miles: 4.3 miles Total Miles: 403.8 miles
