TINY TUESDAY COLLAGE

We decided to go out quite early for our walk this morning because Mr. HCB wants to spend sometime in the garden and greenhouse today, so we were ready to go by 7.30 a.m.

There certainly aren't as many cars on the road since the enforced lockdown, but as we live fairly near to one of the Royal Mail sorting offices, we think that quite a number of the drivers were on their way to work, as they were wearing high viz jackets, the uniform of Royal Mail.

We have a particular circuit that we do for our morning walk, a longer one if we are feeling particularly energetic, or a shorter one when it is quite windy - so even though the sun was shining, as the wind was quite chilly, it was the second route that we took.  We also have to bear in mind that people of our age often need to "pay a visit" and as there are no loos on our way round, and I don't fancy going in the bushes, we have to be sensible.

There were more people about this morning, but we live near the Great Western Hospital, and change of shift is 8.00 a.m. so we weren't surprised, but everyone we passed either walking, running or cycling, kept their 2 metre distance and most smiled and said "Good Morning!"  We even saw one couple as we set off and then saw them again as we were finishing our walk - they obviously went the opposite way round to us.

We passed the Spotted Cow public house where I took our morning selfie and then I asked Mr. HCB if he would "lean on the lamppost at the corner of the street" - cue for a very old song there, methinks - but he wasn't that keen, saying that I had already done a selfie!

Being in the "Three Score and Ten Plus" age group, and therefore judged as vulnerable, we haven't actually been out supermarket shopping ourselves, but at last, I managed to get an online slot for a Waitrose delivery but did a silly thing - and added my last order twice - fortunately I noticed otherwise I would have been paying £256 for our weekly groceries.

As we walked, and as a nod to Tiny Tuesday, we came across these pussy willows, so I do apologise that I have done another collage, but hope I will be forgiven.

Hope everyone is coping well and staying safe INDOORS
