A wonderful surprise!

I am thrilled that the amaryllis i missed while away in BC, has decided to treat me to another stem with buds .... i have been watching it for the past few days, but felt very negative that it would actually produce a flower!!!  So not like me to not just believe in the power of nature!   Anyway, here it is, and while processing this image i turned it sideways....gonna make a beautiful subject for a potential painting me thinks!

Gloomy and misty out there....decided to stay inside, paint, read and make bread....the aroma wafting up the stairs right now is almost killing me!!!
