Sampler

I spent a couple of hours in the communal garden this morning - weeding, tidying and cutting back - managed to fill two green bins but don't know when they will be emptied.  Several of us were out there enjoying the sunshine and keeping our distance from each other, in the main.  One of the owners here is struggling with the isolation imposed and it is leading to very bad temper displayed to everyone trying to help.  The garden is looking better and neighbours walking by for their daily exercise are noticing and liking  the difference.

After lunch I spent some time tidying my study - a job I have been putting off and one which will require several attempts.  I am limiting myself to 30 minutes a day spread over a few days and hopefully it will be done by the weekend.

I ordered both sons 'Sticky Toffee Pudding' from the Cartmel Village shop to be delivered to them as a reminder of here.  They both arrived in Reading and Shepperton today (which surprised me as I only ordered them on Sunday) and they were looking forward to tucking in.

Spoke to Dad this afternoon and he seems OK.

It is Grandson's second birthday today and we saw him blow out the candles on his cake.  He was wearing the jumper I had knitted which I was pleased about as I haven't knitted much since my boys were a similar age.  Also spent some time this afternoon on the sampler I am currently working for grandson's brother who is due to arrive in July.

Oh and it is 8 years ago today that I took voluntary release from work.  Still loving it.
