Great Spotted Woodpecker

I do love having these in the garden. Especially when the young appear. But they are guilty of whipping eggs and baby birds from the nest boxes. They peck the holes bigger . We can cover their big holes but they still have these long beaks. Nature is cruel but I suppose man is the most cruel.
I am on the last of the 7 books A Song of Ice and fire and my goodness men were certainly cruel In the book.
Luckily there is much kindness these days. Keep safe all!
