Tuesday with Fiona and.....

AND Tatum AND the animals.    We are missing our Tuesdays with Fi so have to do it this way.  (Facetime).  But now you get to meet Jasper the 16 lb cat who hides from everyone except Fi who is the only one that can do anything with him.    And he adores her.   And Maple keeps looking out the window for us.    There’s one more cat , Sumatra, who didn’t visit today.     I”m sure the animals are loving having their people home all day.   Trying to see this as a bonus....:-)

We hear that Seattle schools are finally saying that the work is NOT “optional” and students will have to participate…thousands of computers  have been acquired (donated I hope) so that every student will have access.   Too much communication to even keep track of, says the Mom who says working from home takes ever so much more time.  
Fi had a zoom visit with her class…too many people to fill the screen.   Tatum spends many hours with her friends on her screen.  And she is getting all sorts of brochures from colleges all over the country with “virtual” tours in them, as now might be the time for juniors to have a look.    Nothing about this world is normal.  

The sun was out earlier and H and I had a lovely long walk on the “carriage trail" up to Capital Hill and through Volunteer Park.  We’re so lucky to have so much green belt planned and built into this city , much of it by the Olmstead brothers, (who did Central Park ion NYC)
It’s rare to see 3 people at once here (extra)
