Snow melt!

The forecast for last night was nowhere correct - fortunately. We were always predicted to be on the edge of the snow area, but, by 8pm last night is was raining quite heavily. There was plenty of snow and ice remaining this morning but it was disappearing quickly.

The day started with the usual family activities - hair cuts, shopping, taxi-service. By the time I had chance to walk the dog our road had turned to slush having been snow and later solid ice all week, although, the paths were still quite treacherous. Much of the snow across the fields had gone leaving just that in furrows. The farm track, like the footpaths, was still ice but breaking up when stood on.

I know I have blipped these trees before but not with snow. I'll look for something new tomorrow!
