Quinced
Not 100% sure what these are but an app tells me they may be Japanese quinces and could be edible. Rescued from next to the pomegranate tree which always flowers beautifully but fruits for bird pleasure only. I’m hoping to get one this year since we’re all quite fond and it would enliven a salad.
The quinces are channeling the family vibe today, we’ve all been a bit out of sorts, left too long on the isolation shelf. Difficult restructure at work (feels like years since we weren’t going through restructures of one sort or another), my daughter’s zoom consult with her psychologist was tricky too, and it would be lovely if Year 12 got going again properly for my son. My husband’s Conversation piece on coronavirus also causing angst!
Anyway, tomorrow’s another day, and since we’re meant to be practicing gratitude I should note the refund of our NZ bike tour, a delicious dinner cooked by my husband (sausages, broccoli, beans and Jordo’s sauce, followed by rock cakes), and the successful start of my next sofa rehab project. Gruen on iView lifted our spirits too, and so did my phone-a-brother Easiyo technical support call!
Still, bring on tomorrow and a better attitude to the ongoing uncertainty at work (at least I have a job!)
