Hearts For Heroes
I spent the morning filling in an on line claims form with our insurance company for our emergency return from holiday. It wasn't clear whether all the supporting documents they'd asked me to upload had done so, so I did a belt and braces job by sending them an email with all the documents attached. I felt happier when I got an email confirming they'd received it. Now it's just a case of waiting, along with thousands of others.
This afternoon's jaunt was a walk to Glastonbury which took us past the spot where some travellers have been staying for a year or so now. I've blipped these stones before: they were put there by the council, after the travellers arrived, to stop caravans getting onto the grass; the travellers decided to brighten them up by painting messages of love and peace on them. I thought they fitted the bill well for HeartFreek's Community Challenge.
Our route took us on past the house of our friends Tony & Rosie. They happened to see us out of the window so and came out so we could have a chat (at a safe distance, of course).
We haven't seem them since before our holiday and, as Rosie is on the "12 week" vulnerable list because she has cancer, they haven't been able to get out much as Tony understandably hasn't wanted to risk going out either. It was good to catch up with them and to arrange to get some shopping for them at the weekend.
We'd managed almost 4 miles by the time we got home
