Runt of the litter

After the cafés all closed down, I had a problem to solve: how to get my single dose of midday coffee. Our normal French-press pot (pictured on the right), which we use every day at breakfast, makes three or four large cupfuls, far more than I could drink alone. So I invested in the smallest available French-press pot, which was delivered to me yesterday. When I tried it out, it made a good single cup, so this solves my problem for the duration of the emergency. But coffee made at home just isn’t as good as coffee at a café (the old Ballpark Franks Syndrome), so as soon as the ban is lifted, I’ll be returning to my local.
