I took a short walk from home this morning and checked out the horse chestnut tree.

It was cold and quite grey for most of the walk, with a chilly wind. This afternoon the weather was nicer, but I was pleased I had managed to get out.

Liz did shopping for fresh fruit and veg for me today and has left it in the garage. Many thanks go to her. She did a complicated three way shop, including for our village shop.

I have blipped one of the typical trees on Hadrian's Wall Trail today. They are all bent by the prevailing wind from the west. People who know about this do the trail from west to east.....
