The Good, the Bad and the Furry
Rather dull again today, but I went out for two hours (shhh!) this afternoon to stretch the legs and back. As luck would have it, the sun came out after I got home, but that's life.
I walked down to the Corran Halls and along the back path to Dunollie, then returned along the Esplanade past the Dunollie Lighthouse to the town and home up Craigard Road. Quite a few people out on that side of town, but most of them (tho' not all) made the effort to keep their distance. Good to see shrubs and perennials coming into flower everywhere, tho' disappointing to see so much rubbish and dumping along the path behind the houses and hotels en route to Dunollie. Lots of beautiful trees along here too, but so many have fallen and been cut up and piles of chippings are left everywhere; people also prune their shrubs and trees and throw it all out the back where they can't see it, but many others can. Grrr!
Saw the 'Extra' cat hiding among the daffodils!
Quote of the day:
Robert Louis Stevenson - “It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.”
