Grandfather 1865-1945

Day 14- My maternal grandfather who was a farmer in Dorset. He had died before my mother married so I did not meet him. His father started off as a stone quarrier , then became a dairyman and then a farmer.
He married my grandmother in 1894. see yesterdays blip. I think this photo was taken about then .
They had 9 children. One died very young and one at 21. Six were either farmers or married one. The oldest girl went to work in a department store in Bristol.


Tasks today
- no bike ride but lots of exercise cleaning all the moss from tiles on our balcony
- delivery from Ikea and our daughter
- booked a Tesco delivery for Friday!
