back in the saddle

yesterday, we had a wobble and kind of fell off our lockdown, homeschool wagon,  but today, we're back in the saddle..

We had a very slow day,  without too much effort, skipped the bits that looked like hard work... tried to keep a bit of structure but without doing much more than that.. had a play outside, although we had to circle the streets around the park for a bit, as we mistimed it and there were a few other families and dog walkers about...  it seemed a bit weird to deliberately avoid our friends, but being nearby would have been too tempting and the kids would have wanted to start playing together...

We then spent a bit of time visiting the zoo... we've been looking up all the live webcams from zoo's around the world... so we saw a tiger, a cheetah, a panda's bum, an elephant, a naked mole rat, and we also saw loads of empty enclosures where nothing was happening... a bit like a real visit.. . it was quite good fun :-)
