It’s a long while since anyone went through this gate! This is the old entrance to Southampton Old Cemetery next to Southampton Common. It is one of England’s earliest municipal cemeteries; it’s a very interesting place. There are guided walks around it, there are a lot of gravestones of historic interest. There are 60 headstones associated with The Titanic although interestingly no bodies were returned to Southampton
