Cocksburn reservoir
The forecast is for a thaw tomorrow so this afternoon is my last chance of getting more photographs of the reservoir.
But the sky is overcast and the light is dreadful.
This is an isolated area frequented only by dog walkers and the occasional solitary person.
When I had my spaniel it was a favourite walk of mine. Now I feel a bit uneasy in such a desolate area with deep snow on the ground, the light fading and no dog.
Today a young man in a red anorak passes me. We exchange cursory greetings though he never takes his eyes off the camera around my neck. About half an hour later while returning through the woods I half glance behind. I sense there is someone there.
It's the man in the red anorak. Where's he been? OMG! What do I do?
I hear his crunching steps on the snow as he approaches.
He's alongside.
I glance at him.
But its an older man in an identical anorak.
Phew!
